Ram is a major supporting character in Re:Zero - Starting Life in Another World. She is an Oni and the elder twin sister of Rem. Like her sister, Ram works as a maid in the service of Roswaal L. Mathers and is a member of the Emilia Camp. Known for her sharp wit and pride, Ram has a distinct personality that sets her apart from her younger sister.

Ram has a distinctive appearance, characterized by her pink hair and red eyes. Like her sister Rem, Ram is an Oni, but she lost her horn during a raid on their village when she was a child. Ram usually wears the standard maid uniform as part of her duties in the Mathers household, but her commanding presence makes her stand out, especially in comparison to her more reserved sister.
Personality

[1] Fura (フーラ): Fura is Ram's most used wind magic. Ram shoots wind slashes with a super high speed that can cut through wood, stone, and flesh with ease. [2] El Fura (エル・フーラ): Ram unleashes a blade of wind, travelling at maximum velocity. It is noted that the attack can't be physically countered. [3]Ul Fura (ウル・フーラ): Ram is capable of rewriting the world around her, transforming the air around her into blades of wind, which are sent hurling towards her enemies. The blades travel sporadically and without a set course, turning their target into minced meat. [4]Al Fura (アル・フーラ): Ram unleashes an extremely devastating torrent of wind blades that destroy everything and everyone in its path. The unleashed wind blades are described as having the force of a gigantic dragon and the sharpness of a treasured sword. People who are hit with this spell immediately have their eardrums destroyed, their entire bodies slashed to pieces, and, at the end, not even a pool of blood is left of them.
History and character arc
Ram’s relationship with Roswaal L. Mathers plays a significant role in her character development. Her deep loyalty to Roswaal stems from her belief that he saved her after she lost her horn. Throughout the series, it becomes evident that Ram is aware of Roswaal’s manipulations and ulterior motives, yet she remains loyal, believing that she owes him her life. This loyalty is tested as the story progresses, particularly in the later arcs, where Roswaal’s true intentions are revealed.
Ram’s bond with her sister Rem is also central to her story. After Rem falls into a comatose state due to the actions of Lye Batenkaitos, Ram is one of the few characters who still retains memories of her sister.
