Tenka Izumo is the commander of the Demon Defense Corps's 6th Squad.

As a squad commander, Tenka is responsible for the operational readiness and training of the servicewomen within her squad. She also leads them on missions within the realm of Mato to aid civilians and eradicate the Shuuki threat.

Tenka is calm, mature and good natured, and is on good terms with most of her fellow servicewomen. She is also supportive, advising her subordinates following any setbacks or defeats in battle. She is especially close with 7th Squad Commander Kyouka Uzen, due to their areas of jurisdiction being adjacent.

Tenka is also extremely forward with her emotions and feelings, and is not afraid to tease her fellow servicewomen - and the man who has gained Kyouka's trust. She will also willingly join in the lewd rewards for Yuuki after he has participated in battle under Kyouka's command, when given the chance.

Upon meeting Yuuki Wakura, Tenka developed an interest in him. What began as a simple curiosity eventually evolved into infatuation, and then genuine love and respect. Tenka has witnessed Yuuki's abilities in battle, and has developed a deep appreciation for his efforts in the defense against the denizens of Mato. Her feelings ran so deep, she was unable to bring herself to hurt his older sister Aoba Wakura, despite the latter abducting Yuuki and attacking her at full force.
In the series, Tenka's unique power is called "Ame-no-Mitori". It allows her to manipulate space, generating wormholes to rend her enemies, and teleport herself and her targets across vast distances. Tenka can also use this ability to infiltrate secure areas for espionage missions.
